Nature Lover´s Paradise

It isn´t even that we are biased. We just know that life on the Costa del Sol offers everything you might need for a healthy lifestyle. Not only do we have the beaches, sunshine, good food and fresh air, but we have many nature parks and mountain ranges for hiking and ski-ing.

Sierra Nevada

Sierra Nevada, one of Europe’s premier ski destinations, located in southern Spain, is a stunningly beautiful mountain range situated within close proximity to the cities of Seville and Granada. It is only 2.5 hours drive from Estepona. This idyllic mountain range, which reaches heights of over 11,000 ft, is home to some of the finest skiing, snowboarding, and winter sports experiences in all of Europe.

The ski season typically runs from December until April, during which time the resort facilities at Sierra Nevada offer a variety of activities suited to all levels. Beginners can enjoy a wide range of gentle green and blue runs, while more advanced skiers are catered for with a variety of runs including the famously difficult ‘Parador’ black run.

For those looking for something more relaxed, the area around Sierra Nevada is home to a variety of peaceful villages, beautiful hiking trails, and stunning nature spots. Stand out attractions include the Monarca Lagoon, which offers freshwater swimming, as well as the impressive Mulhacen Peak, which is the highest point in mainland Europe.

History and Sport

The centuries old villages of Güejar Sierra and La Chaparra are popular destinations for those looking for authentic Spanish culture. Here you can experience the warmth of the local people, taste delicious local cuisine, and explore fascinating mountain towns and hamlets.

The Sierra Nevada region is also well known for its vibrant nightlife and array of shopping opportunities. The charming city of Granada is close by and offers a traditional Spanish atmosphere with enticing tapas bars and atmospheric nightclubs.

All in all, the Sierra Nevada region has something for everyone – whether you’re a family looking for something fun and relaxing, an adrenaline enthusiast seeking extreme sports thrills, or an adventure traveler looking for stunning natural beauty, Sierra Nevada has it all.

How to get there.

The easiest option is flying into Malaga and either hiring a car for the 90 minute drive , or the fast train is now available from Malaga to the City of Granada. The drive from Granada City to the resort is around about 30 minutes and along the way you can stop at the many stalls for locally produced honey and goods.  Stunning scenery along the way drives the excitmemtn to reach the villlage
